This thoughtful curbside potplant construction keeps well off the road but still manages to run 2-3 rows deep. What stands out, however, is the criss-crossing wire based hanging garden which swings from the branches of a tree near the entrance to the first floor apartment.
Pots hang over 1m down from heavy twisted wire supports and make good use of the whole tree to form a striking aerial landscape reminiscent of Tokyo’s powerline dominated views.
I especially liked how the plants in the hanging pots, and those nearby were slowly creeping their way up and around the wires (see the last two pictures) – eventually they will overrun this linear system with an integrated, lush, greenery….maybe next summer.
