A lovely example of a simple net-based goya and tomato green curtain growing strong next to a drink vending machine.

At the bottom of the net on the left-hand side hangs a single cork. I wonder what its purpose is. It seems too light to play any part in securing the structure in bad weather, but then, what do I know about the climate in Sendagaya….

Any ideas? Has anyone seen this technique before?
